Virtual Piano Lessons

Virtual lessons are offered through Zoom, providing students with the opportunity to receive personalized, one-on-one piano instruction from the comfort of their own home. I offer lessons for students ages 6 through adult. Whether you are just beginning, looking to transition to a more advanced teacher, have been playing for years, or are returning to piano after taking a break, lessons are tailored to meet you where you are and help you continue growing as a musician.

My teaching is rooted in a classical foundation and follows a traditional approach that emphasizes strong technique, musical understanding, and a well-rounded education at the piano. Students typically begin with a 45-minute lesson once a week, which provides a great balance of learning new repertoire, developing skills, reinforcing music theory through games and activities, and making steady progress. Sixty-minute lessons are also available for intermediate and advanced students who would benefit from additional lesson time.

For students who enjoy performing, there are opportunities throughout the year to participate in recitals, festivals, competitions, and adjudications. These experiences are always optional and provide a wonderful way to build confidence, work toward personal goals, and celebrate each student's progress.

Is Virtual Learning Right for You?

Virtual lessons are an excellent option for students who:

  • Travel frequently.

  • Live outside the Soldotna area.

  • Prefer learning from home.

  • Need greater scheduling flexibility.

  • Want the same individualized instruction without commuting.

The Same Personalized Instruction—Just Online

One of the biggest misconceptions about online piano lessons is that they're less personal.

In reality, every lesson is live, interactive, and tailored to each student's individual needs. Students receive real-time instruction, immediate feedback, and personalized guidance just as they would during an in-person lesson.

Lessons focus on:

  • Technique

  • Music Reading

  • Rhythm

  • Musical Expression

  • Ear Training

  • Practice Strategies

  • Performance Preparation

Let's Meet First

Every student begins with a 45-minute consultation.

This is a two-way conversation where you and Mr. Mark can discuss your goals, ask questions, and determine whether the studio is the right fit for your family.

During the consultation you'll:

  • Talk about your musical goals.

  • Learn how online lessons work.

  • Ask questions about the program.

  • Experience a brief five-minute mini lesson.

If everyone feels it's the right fit, students enroll for the full school year (September through May).
